Sometimes the smallest act of kindness doesn’t just make a difference—it changes everything.
In Cathy’s Christmas Confession, Patti Shene Gonzales beautifully illustrates how a kind word or thoughtful gesture can transform a life. Cathy, a widowed woman with no superpowers and plenty of her own struggles, simply chooses to notice others. Through everyday conversations, she learns about people’s interests and gently nudges them toward community and connection. But when Cathy realizes some in her circle don’t even know who Jesus is, she’s moved to share Him—though she’s unsure how. And all the while, a secret from her past continues to tug at her heart.
David, also a recent widower, is drifting through life in a fog of grief—until a chance encounter with Cathy begins to rekindle something he thought he’d lost forever: hope.
If you enjoy heartwarming, realistic romance between mature adults—stories grounded in faith and second chances—this uplifting novella will charm you. Though set during the holiday season, it’s a feel-good read for any time of year. I read it in July and loved every page.
Cathy's Christmas Confession is available on Amazon.
